Chrome-Moly Alloy Steel Ball Mill Liner

Short Description:

Carbon Alloy Steel Mill Liner in general refers to a kind of casting steel with the chromium content at 2%~6%, the carbon content at 0.3%~1.2%. Carbon Alloy Steel Mill Liner's distinctive feature is to adopt multivariate alloy design. Carbon Alloy Steel Mill Liner increases carbide content in the medium carbon alloyed steel, through increasing the Cr & Mo content, the strong carbide forming elements, so as to improve its heat-resisting, wear-resisting performance.

Product Description

Alloy Steel Mill Liner Cement Ball Mill Liner in general refers to a kind of casting steel with the chromium content at 2%~6%, the carbon content at 0.3%~1.2%. Cement Ball Mill Liner Alloy Steel Mill Liner's distinctive feature is to adopt multivariate alloy design. Alloy Steel Mill Liner Cement Ball Mill Liner increases carbide content in the medium carbon alloyed steel, through increasing the Cr & Mo content, the strong carbide forming elements, so as to improve its heat-resisting, wear-resisting performance. As a result, its high strength, strong toughness and good wear resistance properties represent the relatively high level of metal wear resistant materials.

Alloy Steel Mill Liner Cement Ball Mill Liner is widely used for power coal ball mills, cement ball mills.

Application

The role of a ball mill liner is to give the mill heads protection against wear and tear thus increasing their lifetime and creating optimal grinding efficiency. The design of a ball mill liner depends on the drilling pattern of the mill heads, the rpm speed of the mill, the maximum grinding diameter of the media and the percentage of media filling. In this way an optimum compromise can be achieved between grinding efficiency and the equipment´s lifetime. Continual profile studies of the liners help monitor the situation so improvements can be made. Liners are easy to install with their filler ring and handling system.

The type of ball mill liner known as a shell liner, covers a range of shell liners for everything from fine to coarse grinding. These liners are efficient energy wise and make for low grinding media consumption. They can be assessed continuously via profile studies and the design can be tailored to the customer´s needs by Magotteaux´s engineers. Grinding efficiency meets shell protection with its anti-pulp racing design. It also minimizes grinding media consumption. The design will be created according to the drilling pattern of the mill shell, the mill speed, the grinding media diameter and media filling percentage.

The type of ball mill liner known as a grate liner is designed for discharge efficiency. It allows the discharge of ground materials via slots. With the HG range of alloys and their experience a longer lifetime and optimal grinding can be achieved. Designs of grate liners depend on their drilling pattern, mill speed, grinding media diameter, media filling percentage, throughput and the presence of pebble. They are used in AG mills, SAG mills, all grate discharge mills (Rod and primary mills, etc.) The grates are made in CrMo  for AG and grate discharge mills and High-Chrome also for AG mills. The design is adapted to avoid the overthrowing of balls and to fit with the existing pulp liners.

A ball mill liner has an anti-pulp racing design to avoid the pulp circulating. It is also designed to minimize the consumption of the grinding media. The choice of alloy that is used for the liner depends on the operating conditions in each mill or plant, its expected lifetime and cost. Liners can be made in Chrome-Moly or in High-Chrome. They are used in AG and SAG mills, Ball mills and Rod mills. As ever with HG´s products solutions can be tailored to meet the goals of your operation and deliver better results.
