H&G produced 6sets mantle & concave liners for Karara Mining Ltd in Australia, this is used for METSO MP1000 Cone Crushers at one iron ore mine site in western Australia. Each set of these liners will processing 450,000 tons iron ore production.

Cone crushers are popular rock crushing machines in aggregates production, mining operations, and recycling applications. They are normally used in secondary, tertiary, and quaternary crushing stages. However, in cases where the grain size of the processed material is small enough by nature and the traditional primary crushing stage is not needed, also cone crushers can carry out the first stage of the crushing process.

Cone crushers are very suitable for size reduction and shaping in the downstream of a crushing circuit. They reduce the material in a crushing cavity by continuous compression between a fixed element (bowl liner) and a moving element (mantle).

Cone crushers are equipped with a hydraulic setting adjustment system, which allows adjusting the crusher settings to fully match the material, feed size, and capacity requirements.

Metso’s cone crusher offering consists of four different product families that utilize the same crushing principle but vary in features and optimal applications. In addition to stationary crushers, many cone crusher models are also available as mobile and portable versions. 

Cone crusher liners include cone crusher mantle and concave. The heat treatment is the most important step in casting cone crusher liners. How to control heat treatment?

The advanced and convenient heat treatment tooling equipment is used, and the castings should be placed with the mouth facing down. The crushing wall and rolling wall castings are thick and complicated. The material is an austenitic manganese steel with a strengthening element. Therefore, the heating temperature should be lowered at a temperature of 150 ° C for 1 hour, and then increased to 60 to 100 ° C / h. Keep at 650 ℃ for 2 ~ 3h. After heating with the furnace to 1080 ~ 1100 ℃, the heat preservation is generally 4 ~ 5h (the heat preservation is 1h for every 25mm thickness of the casting, and then it is increased by 1h).
The water temperature is controlled at 20 ~ 30 ℃. The cone crusher liners castings should be filled with water within 45s. After entering the water, it should swing up and down, left and right, and break through the steam film to improve the cooling effect.
The heat treatment of the cone crusher liners adopts a circular bell-type trolley electric furnace, which is sealed, environmentally friendly, and has good energy-saving effects. The decarburization of the casting is less, which is convenient to use.
